Chopper bikes – The extreme and stylish modification of a stock motorcycles
What chopper bikes or chopper motorcycles really is?
This question appear when i saw my neighbour ride one of this bikes.
It is cool....
I thought that there was a manufacture that produced chopper bikes, so i surf the net but i found that there is no one.
So what chopper really is .... ?
Then i try to surf again about the history, find in wiki and other recources and i know now.
The Chopper motorcycles or Chopper bikes started when soldier return from world war II, not satisfied with his bikes, he started chop up their motorcycle with their own skill get from trained their get on work on automobiles and motorcycles on the war.
First they was called "bobber" because just removing or shortening the fender of the bikes , create lighter, sleeker and faster or at least look better and minimalist.
In the 60s, motorcyclists found that a longer front end allowed the bike to run smoother at faster speeds.
The bikes kept evolving through the 60's and in the 70's and they started to call them "Choppers".
The movie "Easy Rider" was brought the Chopper into the public eye.
The bobber unmodified frames while chopper frames are often cut and welded into shape with chromed parts and elongated forks.
Some removed the battery and used a magneto to reduce weight. The gas tank, headlight, and blinkers were all made smaller.
Anything deemed to be unnecessary was removed to make a bike that was unique and tailored to each rider.
So, simple say the chopper bikes or chopper motorcycles is ...
we took a stock motorcycle , Harley Davidson was most popular even we can use Japan motorcycles or others.
"Chop" all unnessary parts like Windshields, fenders, headlights, crash bars and seats and rake the front end.
Then it become a Chopper bikes.
That means no manufacture can produce a Chopper.
They just can offer the customized bikes or the choppers based on some of the most popular designs.
Since people wanted a Chopper and nobody was building them so they had to go build them themselves.
Arien Ness is a legend talented designer on this bussines.
There is Mini choppers too.
The Mini choppers are scaled-down versions of choppers and are generally constructed from 1" steel tubing or 3/4" steel black pipe.
The tube or pipe is bent and then welded together to get the desired angles and shapes of the frame, which is usually custom made.
Most typical engine would be a Briggs & Stratton or Tecumseh horizontal shaft industrial engine with a non-tapered shaft,ATV and dirt bike engines, or small sport motorcycles engine.
The Mini choppers often use bicycle or moped rims and tires on front and large pneumatic tires in the rear.
That's what i get ....
Ducati Monster 696 - The real Monster on the Road
The next year ( 1993 ) become 904cc with Desmodue engine (2-valve,
air-cooled) .
In 1995 600cc, 1996 750cc, 1998 with 600Dart, 900 Cromo and 900S.
In the year of 2000 The Monster showed with 900 EFI, 2001 Monster S4
with 916cc.
2002 become 918cc, 2003 800 and 1000cc with new dual spark engine, 2004
996cc with single – side swingarm.
2005 Monster S2R powered by Desmodue engine, 2006 Monster S2R become
992cc and 2007 Monster 695cc replace the entry level 620.
The year of 2008 was the Ducati Monster 696 borned year.
Looks more muscular than ever, the chassis of the new Monster is made up
of a new Hybrid Trellis frame with larger diameter tubes directly
inspired by Desmosedici GP7 machine.
As an evolution of the pervious 695cc the engine power output gets a 9%
boost to 80hp (59kW) and an 11% increase in torque to 50.6lb-ft .
The combines of all above can provide the most enjoyable riding
experience for anyone who's wanted a Ducati for everything the name
represents.
And on the year of 2010, The Monster 696 will get ABS but isn't expected
to be switchable on and off also get new vacuum formed engine cases like
the 848. 1198, F1098 & M1100 with completely visible oil filter.
It boosting the price too, about £300.

• 5% increase in crankshaft inertia enhances low-to-mid range output and “highlights power-pulse feel.”
• Single spring per valve versus the SV650’s two springs per valve reduces inertia weight, and thereby mechanical losses.
• High-lift cam for increased torque.
• Throttle body intake funnels, though longer than what the SV650 used, are two different lengths for improved mid-range.
• Idle Speed Control (ISC) system integrated into throttle body –first ever on any Suzuki street bike– improves idle, cold starting and eliminates additional wiring and hoses. The same 10-hole fuel injectors used on the GSX-R600 and 750 offer better atomization of fuel mixture. Two Iridium-tip spark plugs per cylinder complete the package for more thorough, consistent combustion which in turn is claimed to lead to better economy, emissions, power, etc.
• All new compact exhaust with mid-chamber is claimed to increase low and mid-range torque while different length exhaust pipes allegedly improve low-end performance; exhaust design also contributes to lower CoG.
• New radiator is smaller; oil cooler is now liquid-to-liquid rather than air-cooled, and its new design helps centralize mass.

Ninja 250R – The best selling little Ninja

The little Ninja that does things way better than it should
Entered the American market in 1986 ( 1983 -Japan ) known as EX250 or GPZ-250R,
Ninja 250R ( EX250-J ) is the fourth generation of the 249cc Kawasaki Ninja and has been often used as a starting class bike in club racing around the world ( wiki ) where 62% of Ninja 250 owners are new riders, and 33% of that group is women.
Since 1986 the Ninja 250R has been among the best selling bikes in Kawasaki's line up.
With 249cc liquid cooled DOHC and pararel twin engine, the Ninja 250R can run ¼ mile in 14.6 seconds at 88 mph
The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is a good motorcycle , it works perfectly with light handling, good fuel economy, and comfortable riding posture.
Honda CBR 250RR - Most powerful 4-stroke That had no official confirmed
Manufacturer : Honda
Production : 1986-1999
Engine : 250 cc 4-stroke inline 4
Top speed : 180 - 200 km/h (124 mph)
Power : 30-34 kW
Transmission : 6-speed Weight 142 kg (313 lb) (dry),
157 kg (346 lb) (wet)
249cc - MC14e - 4 Stroke - 16 valve - Liquid Cooled - Inline Four and 6-gear Honda CBR250RR ( 1999 ) first produced at 1986 only ever sold new in Japan and later in Australia, but they can be found in almost any country of the world as grey market imports.
None of the models of CBR 250RR have been officially confirmed by Honda Japan.
Not much information about Honda CBR250RR we can get except from the official Honda Service Manual for CBR250RR because of that.
Top speed 165 km/h ( 190-200 km/h version 1988-1993 ) , Honda CBR250RR is known as the 'tri-colour' due to the fact that most (but not all) of the official bikes came in that particular colour scheme.
Would be the new CBR250RR seen on the road in 2010 to compete with ZXR250, GSX-R250 or FZR250 ?
Kawasaki ZX-6R - A new bike with the latest technology
Introduced the ZX-6R in 1995 and won Supersport category award for MasterBike 2004 and 2005, Kawasaki improved The ZX-6R every year to compete with CBR600RR, GSX-6R and YZF-R6.
Using a former 125 cc GP racer as the ZX-6R's chief development rider, Tomomi Manako, Kawasaki claims a focus has been put on track usage. Frame, swingarm, suspension, brakes, and body are completely redesigned and the bike shares very few parts from the previous model since 2008.
The greatest changes for 2009 were the redesign of the exhaust, now carried low and not requiring the thick under-seat construction of 2008 and especially the introduction of the BPF (Big Piston Fork) suspension from SHOWA for a more progressive brake-dive imported from MotoGP technology.
2009 ZX-6R 10kg lighter than last year with the same basic construction (resulting in 191 kg dry as opposed to 205 kg in 2008)and certainly feels lighter, more lively and turns in much easier.

Yamaha R6 - Yamaha Motorcycles
Introduced in 1999 and has been improved till now, 599 Cc with liquid cooled DOHC and 16-titanium Valves 2009 Yamaha R6 has become an unbeatable combination of power and handling in the middleweight super sport class motorcycles.
Yamaha achieve the engine performance that is so hard to vie with. While the YCC-I ( Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake ) system ensures excellent cylinder filling and broader powerband, the YCC-T
( Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle ) dual-injector system complements for the 13.1:1 compression ratio and implicit greater throttle response.
On the specifications on Wiki, the power of Yamaha R6 2009 noted to 99.6 kW (135 PS) @ 14,500 rpm with direct air induction / 94.9 kW (129 PS) @ 14,500 rpm without direct air induction althought in February 2006, there was a case that Yamaha admitted the bike's true engine redline was more than 1,000 rpm lower than displayed on the tachometer than advertised.
With the areodinamis's design, Yamaha R6 was the first production motorcycle with a fly-by-wire throttle system for flawless response under all conditions.
For noted that Yamaha R6 with Carl Curtchlow ( a Germany of Worl Super Sport Rider ) currently still leading in World Supersport Class.
Prices start at US$9,990. Details on the official Yamaha website here
